The paintings combined imagery from the natural and supernatural world while incorporating visuals with playful symbolism, hidden curiosities, and hopeful optimism.
"Image & Abstraction" exhibit, showed at Northwind Art Gallery in April 2021, and featured Jane Friedman, renowned for her encaustic and oil paintings, and award-winning wood sculptor, Alan Newberg. Newberg’s abstract wood sculptures evoke the sensuousness of nature and the feminine, while Friedman’s encaustic and oil paintings are inspired by the interplay of human nature and the natural environment.
